I'm gonna try this the next time DH has a football gathering. I usually make rotel but this sounds like a nice change. Thanks!

By the way... this is the doubled recipe, so use the 32 oz. can of corn.

Thanks ladies, now that my desk is covered in drool!

I always like to make crab dip b/c it's so eff'ing good and super easy. I bring it to parties sometimes and I sit there and eat it all. Is that rude, ha. Joe told me one time to stop eating it all b/c I brought it for the guests. Anyway-

What you need:

1 can crab meat, I use Chicken of The Sea brand (just thought of Jessica Simpson, haha)

8 oz cream cheese, I use Philadelphia brand, it comes in a silver package

1 jar of cocktail sauce, I use McCormick's brand

1 box of crackers, I use "Socialables", original flavor

To do:

Let the cream cheese soften b/c you have to mix it, drain the crab meat. HAND mix the crab meat and cream cheese together thoroughly. To serve this you can do whatever you want but I normally make a paddy out of it, place the paddy in center of round serving dish, and pour the cocktail sauce all over it, its ok if it falls off sides, and place the crackers around it. People can than grab a cracker and scoop from the sides of the dip. Its a more solid dip. :o)

2 pkg 8oz cream cheese (softened)
2 handfulls shredded cheddar cheese (regular grate)
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix
1/2 cup crispy bacon pieces plus a little extra for garnish
chopped chives or green onions for garnish
1/3 cup beer

Mix cream cheese, ranch mix, and beer together with mixer. Add handfuls of cheese and 1/2 C crispy bacon and mix by hand. Spoon into serving dish and garnish with some cheese, bacon pieces and green onions/chives. I served with pretzles, chips and carrots. I recommend taking it out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before serving because it will be very firm. I zapped it in the microwave for 20 seconds and that worked well too. It's soooo good!!!
would it work to put this in a mini crock pot & serve it warm? This sounds sooooo yummy!
*puts this on Christmas party recipe list*

I bet it would be good all warm and gooey!

Here's another recipe we've made a few times that is really delicious. We use turkey sausage instead of regular:
