My stone is a moissanite, but I still wouldn't want them to swap it out with a CZ. I could tell the difference though.

All I could think about was, "How long would it take to replace a diamond!?!?!?" I think I'll wait in the store from now on! smile36.gif
Agreed. Just the same you should never take your ring to be repaired or sized anywhere but the jewler you bought it from.

When I was in the DR I couldn't believe how much my rings sparkled. I asked my jeweller why they sparkled so much when I was away and he told me that the chlorine in the pool was the reason behind it. Not much help since I am not suggesting you find a pool to clean your ring, I just thought it was interesting.

I'm so proud of my FH, he got the warranty on the ring and it includes free ring cleaning for life. I love it, whenever I'm at the mall I stop by and they check it to make sure no stones are lose and clean it for me. It's so pretty after they're done.. it's a shame it gets dirty so fast sad.gif

I was berated from my jeweler for not taking care of my diamond. They gave me a cleaner solution that comes in a jar and when I come home I put it in there and leave it overnight. She told me to never to housecleaning with it on, or anything where it could get dirty. Not even showering with it on. And when you take it off, don't tough the face of the diamond. Now my diamond is clean all the time!

I would lose mine if I was to take it off that much. I believe it is safest on my finger. I also believe that for the most part after your married the rings don't leave your finger. Thats just me though.

I never wear my rings in the shower, but I have a little dish (that my DH painted for me at Dreams!) that I set them in right before I get in, and I put them back on as soon as I've applied lotion and hair products- I can't stand gunk getting into my ring. The Tacori dealer recommended that I not apply lotion, hair styling products, or other such substances with my ring on, especially because of the pave and detail on my ring.

I clean my ring with jewelry cleaner from a jeweler (just the liquid stuff), and I can't remember what it's called. I just soak the ring for a few minutes, then use a soft brush- I can't believe how dirty the cleaner water is, and I'm usually pretty careful about getting my ring dirty. However, over a year since I got my e-ring, and I still clean my rings probably 2 times a week.

I got insurance on mine so they have something set up where I can get it repainted/sparkly/cleaned to the max as much as I want at the jewelry store.

In the meantime, I use a ring cleaner that I bought at the jewelry store. It was about five dollars. And I use it HABITUALLY (love my ring to sparkle). Everyone always tells me, it's so shiney! Yay!
