Yours is coming up so soon! :) Please update us on how your wedding turns out in April :) Btw, how far along did you send your STD and invites for the cruisers? :)

LOL

We did chose our cake flavors, but it was a little difficult since like you said you cannot taste them.  We went really simple, vanilla cake with hazelnut cream filling, with an almond vanilla buttercream.  I was a little nervous about trying some of the other flavors even though they sounded pretty fun.

Yes there are some interesting flavors for sure. I think I am going to go with the vanilla cake too (safer). I also was leaning towards the lemon cake. It's really hard to pick the frosting and filling. Hazelnut filling and almond buttercream sounds really good. I wish I could taste them.

I know, it is coming up very fast!  I will be sure to post a review upon my return :)  I sent my STD magnets out in August and I sent our invitations out in October.  Looking back though I think I would have sent out the STDs a little earlier to give people more time to save.   But it worked out ok, most of our family already knew are plans so it was a little bit of a struggle for some of our friends.

LOL me too!!! I really wanted the mango curd, but the FI wasn't into that :(  So we played it safe..  I actually really wanted to do cupcakes, but the price was extremely expensive for cupcakes, so we went back to the cake idea.

Awesome! ;) Thank you! I haven't been on this site for a while since I'm still trying to plan things out.  :) I'm glad that some folks have responded and said they were going to our wedding and are probably close to 30+.  If you don't mind me asking, how much per person will it be for the lunch you're having at the island? We're thinking of doing the same thing that's why to enjoy the island more.

Thank you so much for starting this thread! It has been very helpful and informative! My fiancé and I are getting married on March 30, 2012 on Bluebeard's Beach (F/K/A Lime Tree Beach). We are arriving on Celebrity Cruises. Our travel agent contacted a couple different wedding services for us in St. Thomas and we chose Island Wedding Services (www.islandweddingservices.com). The web site has tons of options and ideas and a step by step guide to getting married on the island. Michelle is fabulous to work with and arranged everything for us - very promptly and professional. The web site also have great photographs of all the different wedding sites.
