How many surgeries have you had?

Hmmm...no surgeries for me. Never even broke a bone. But I may have my own personal record of unfortunate events. During my pregnancy I saw 4 different doctors for 4 different problems, with appointments 3-4 times every week. I was high risk, so I had an ultrasound every week, I had to have a thyroid biopsy done twice (18 needles in the throat), a 2 day stay in the hospital for blood clots in my lungs, a CAT scan, lung scan, leg ultrasounds, chest x rays, and a breast biopsy. All in a matter of less than 9 months. Fun!!!! And believe it or not, I want more kids after all that!

I have had a few. I broke my nose twice because of cheerleading in high school so I have had two nose surgeries. I had to wear a huge bandage on my nose at school-it was embarrassing. Also, I had my wisdom teeth cut out (really not that bad). I had a boob job or "breast enhancement surgery" as the docs like to call it, haha!

Wow-that's my wisdom teeth story too....I shudder to remember it.

As for Lasik GO FOR IT! It's almost completely painless if your eyes qualify.

Unfortunately my eyes did not and I had to have PRK and it was the most horrible pain of my life-way worse than the wisdom teeth. But even though it was horribly painful I would still do it again. That's how worth it having my perfect vision is.

Knowing what they do to your eyes totally freaks me out and I am a contact/glasses wearer.

I did the initial consultation when I was 18 and they didn't want to do it because I had just started taking the pill.

My fiance wants me to get it done with the homebuyer tax credit money next year...he encourages it often...I lose my glasses and complain about the contacts blush2.gif

4 oral surgeries, but i'm not really sure if they count...

getting 4 baby teeth pulled (5th grade)

then another 3 (5th/6th grade)

then getting a chunk of gum cut out so that an adult tooth would grow (7/8th grade)

& getting all 4 impacted wisdom teeth out (age 22)

when i was 22 i was told i had the teeth of a 16-18 year old, lol.
