chickadee024 - did your guests tell you about how much the zipline cost them? who did they do it with? i'm also interested in knowing the cost of renting the scooter (and the length for the rental) and the cost for visiting the Appleton Rum Factory.

thanks!

Sorry it took so long to post answers! I work for our state health department and things were a little crazy there...

The guests said that their zipline trip ran about $90 per person. They had originally been told that they would be ziplining at a place in Negril, but ended up closer to Montego Bay. Not sure if they would recommend again.... Plus, we had some guests go to Ocho Rios and they said the ziplining looked better there. I think they went with Divine Tours, but I'm not totally sure.

The scooter rental was awesome. I think we paid $110 to rent it for 3 days, and it was well worth the money. Not only did it give us a chance to see the island better, but we were able to make runs to the grocery and bank much easier.

I asked my husband (sugar daddy) how much the Appleton Rum tour was, and he thought it was between $30-$40 - which could be a little off, since all he could think about was Rum Cream. A little expensive, but worth the money in my opinion. Not only is the factory pretty cool, but the trip there was priceless. It was a chance to see the true Jamaican countryside, out of the tourist traps. Also, I think we passed through the Royal Palm Reserve and we stopped on Bamboo Avenue.

Great link. Thanks so much. Boy, there sure are lots of things to do. I'm not so worried about the 1st week seeing as it'll be busy with the wedding and stuff but I fear we may get bored the 2nd week so that's why I'm looking around now.
