First wedding item you purchased

I bought Martha Stewart's Keepsake Wedding Planner.

 

After reading Sarah's (Beachbridema) To-do post, I realize I have to go shopping!

I don't have my dress, veil, shoes... any of the important stuff yet!

(But I do have lots of magazine cutouts nicely organized in my planner )

 

What was the first wedding item you purchased?

Magazine subscriptions to Modern Bride, Brides, Bridal Guide.... hehehe....

 

First real purchase would be the water bottle koozies for our Welcome Bags... I had to guess on quantities, so between now and the wedding, we may have to create some new bags and if the items are available anymore (very likely), then some people will get bags different bags/items...

i think it was my dress! i never got into the magazines really.

i think it was my dress (my original wedding ress, now reception dress), but i can't totally remember... i'm pretty sure that was it though because it was from there that i decided on my wedding colors.

The day after I got engaged, my mom took me out and we both got "planning journals". I write about my planning progress and other wedding stuff about once a month. It's something that will be really neat to show my kids when they get married (if I remember where I put it!). Every time something major happens, I make sure to write in it. It's even fun to go back and read now (10 months into the engagement)

I reaaaalllly took my time making my purchases. I didn't want to jump the gun on anything and I am glad. I didn't end up with any unnecessary crap other than all of the unnecessary crap that I have right now

My first purchase was a destination wedding magazine! That was a few months ago and I haven't actually purchased anything else...
