Sarah! You are getting married one day before me! Isn't it a little mindracking how close it is getting?

Some other things that might apply to you:

OOT bags

Organize what YOU want to do during your stay (something I didn't realize I had yet to do!)

Seating chart (if you need one)

Welcome letter to guests

gifts for MOH, BM, etc...

I'll keep thinking...I need ideas too!

I think there was a thread like this a couple months ago, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway- this was my list 2 months ago, and I just updated it today (thanks for the reminder!). It's kinda funny to see what I got done and what I didn't since February. I don't know if maybe something on my old list will remind you of something you need to do...

To do list

  • LOSE 20 POUNDS!!! lol does 5 count?
  • Book flight done (last week- yikes!)
  • Decide if having legal wedding or not (if so, deal with all the drama that goes along with it) Done, still need to email Mariana to confirm exactly what paperwork we need to bring
  • Go for dress fittings (for 2 dresses- yikes!) Final fitting is Thursday
  • Buy shoes and jewelry, lingerie Done
  • Buy Jeff's suit and accessories Still searching for the perfect tie
  • Decide on and order BM dresses (I think we're going with the Babydoll that I posted) Done
  • Decide on and purchase groomsmen attire Done
  • Find Flower girl dress Done
  • Decide on and purchase bridal party gifts
  • Taste, decide on, and order cake Done. Tres Leches with white choc & strawberries
  • Finalize guest list, number of tables Done
  • Meet with Mariana at Dreams for Food tasting Done
  • Decide on Menu Done
  • Hair and Makeup trial while on site visit (decide who to try and book appointments) Done, decided to do trial just before wedding
  • Confirm all appointments
  • Get Hair and nails done prior to leaving for Cabo- have backup nail plan for unexpected disasters in Cabo
  • Order wedding bands Done- pick them up Wed
  • Reserve rental car
  • Reserve DJ, come up with song list No DJ-just IPOD, need song list
  • Reserve Mariachi or trio (still can't make up my mind!!!) Reserved Trio- need to confirm
  • Make up my mind between fire dancers and/or fireworks Neither
  • Decide on flowers, including my bouquet Done
  • Decide on centerpieces Done
  • Buy and ship paper lanterns for reception Bought- bringing with
  • Make luminarias Done
  • Make placecards Done
  • Make menus Done
  • Make fans with thank you note Done
  • Make and send invitations Done
  • Schedule boarding condo reservations for Loomis (the dog) Done
  • Decide on Welcome dinner and menu Done

So, in addition to the couple items that still need to be addressed from the original list, I need to pack, get birth certificates, etc in order, find an outfit for Jeff for our trash-the-dress pics, and mail out welcome letters.

It doesn't seem like I have that much to do, yet why do I feel like I'm missing so much and will freak out two days before I leave? lol

Thanks Sarah that was a good list. I feel totally stressed, like I am going to forget something. I feel the same, like theres not that much more to get done, but yet I know I am going to freak out before we leave. I cant believe how fast this has come, its so exciting, yet scary!

Anny, I cannot tell if you are trying to have a honeymoon baby... or not! Just kidding!

Sarah, I am 9 months away from my wedding but looking through the DW book I have, here are the suggestions for 3 to 6 weeks before:

Arrange other weekend events
Send pre-wedding packet to guests
Finalize ceremony
Plan welcome bags
Get prescriptions filled
Buy attendant gifts
Shop for honeymoon attire
Make hair and beauty appointments

I'd love a honeymoon baby but I have to take BC to change my cycle or el I'd get my period a day before my wedding sad.gif
I'm super regular and I'd have it on July 6th so I have to do something..

I will stop taking BC after the wedding so I hope I get preggo soon cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
