Hair flower

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to decide whether I want a flower in my hair or not.

My dress is black and i'm blonde! I was going to put up just one side of my hair and have a flower that matched my bouquet but not i'm not sure whether that's possible.

Stupid me didn't even think of how it would be attached!! smile105.gif

So do I get an artificial one or get a real one when I get to the hotel? Help

I think you can go either way. If you go artificial you can have it attached to a hair comb or clips of sorts. When my cousin used a real flower they just told the florist what flower they wanted and the florist added something tomake it more sturdy in the back sothat the hairstylist could easily clip it in.

Hopefully someone has a better explanation though.

Do you have any inspiration pics? I'm blonde also and struggling with the hair flower thing. I LOVE when people with dark hair have them... but haven't seen a ton with blondes.

No I don't - I'm going for white lillies as my flowers so it may be a little pale but for me it should be ok with the black dress

If the dress is pale I think you'll probs have to have a really vibrant colour for your hair to make it stand out

this is how I made mine.

i switched from a white flower to pink & love the way it pops in the pictures. but, i have dark hair. not sure what works best in blonde hair.

I got some silk flowers from around my house & took a bunch of tester pictures.

also, i think silk works the best. a real flower can wilt in the sun. my friend had a beautiful lily for her wedding that got so droppy during the ceremony.

I totally agree with morgan here about using a silk flower. Since you have light hair i think a colorful flower would pop more in your pics wink.gif
