Any help is appreciated!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello, I got engaged recently and am in the preliminary stages of planning my wedding in Riviera Maya/Cancun area. I am overwhelmed. I would like to find a location ASAP because we have the tentative date set at June 20th 2014 and I want to get my save the dates out so everyone has time to save/plan. We have two kids and another on the way, so we are on a fairly tight budget. We want a beautiful resort at an affordable cost for all of our guests and no Adults only. One more stipulation, I am boycotting any of the Dreams, NOW resorts. I have stayed at Iberostar but cannot find pricing on wedding packages there, I am looking at RIU and Barcelos as well. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

Hey jlo!

Welcome to the forum!  I'm sure you will get tons of helpful information on here!  Have you thought of contacting a destination wedding travel agent in your area?  They could have special deals with airfare straight from your town which could save costs and help organize travel for all your guests!  They will also be very helpful in narrowing down your options quickly.

Good luck and happy planning!

Hello Jlo,

Welcome to the Forum and Congrats on your Engagment !!!

Since you are in the early stages of planning, my suggestion would be the following when choosing a resort, you want something that offers all the qualities you envisioned. If you prefer also check with your local travel agent to compare prices, because sometimes travel agent get better deals than you would get yourself.

You might check out these Resorts:

Playacar Palace, its an all inclusive and they have good food. They do not allow outside vendors, be sure to know if for example you are flying in your photographer and he stays with you in the same resort, that there will not be an "outside vendor fee" for him.

Hacienda Tres Rios has it all, good deals, beautiful hotel, various restaurants. It's kidfriendly, they allow outside vendors on no extra costs. The beach has white sand but the water is not as magical blue.

If you have any more questions you can send me an email to: [email protected]

Happy Research !

Joyce
