Wedding Coordinators: Illeana v. Maye

Hi All Past, Present and Future Brides of Cabo,

I am hiring a wedding coordinator for my April 2014 nuptials in Cabo, but can't decide on who to pick. They both have gotten GREAT reviews on this forum, and pretty reasonably priced- one is about $280 more than the other. Both have also responded very quickly to all my questions, and both seem to be very sweet and kind. Also, I haven't really seen any RECENT reviews on either one of them (there was a negative one about Maye, but it sounded like a large wedding- my wedding will be very small,~40 guests), so I'm hoping some of you girls can give me your opinions on who to choose!!

I just returned from my Cabo wedding. Illeana from Romantic Cabo Weddings (I assume she is the one you mentioned) was my coordinator. After about a full year of working with her and never having a site visit all I can say is SHE IS FABULOUS! Hello I am new to the forum. I am planning a April 2014 same sex wedding in Cabo:confused: or PV. I am interested in finding a wedding coordinator who could help us with a small intimate ceremony, and am in need of help! Please if there is anyone that could give me any advice. Thank you so much.

I too am researching private coordinators as I refused to go with resort coordinator!!  I was referred by a couple different people to use the services of Elizabeth Schoell, with A Sunset Wedding.  She seems to have excellent references.  I have not heard anything on either of the planners Lleana from Romantic Cabo Wedding nor Maye....

Has anyone heard anything about Elizabeth Schoell from a Sunset Wedding? 

I've never heard of Elizabeth, but Illeana has been amazing so far. She is very motherly and sweet, and helps out in any way she can. I've met 4 other ladies here that have used her and they all really like her as well. Just my opinion.

Hi there. My wedding was a couple of weeks ago at Villa Cielito. I used Maye Cortinas and she was great! Very affordable and excellent! 

Maye Cortinas was fantastic. I'd highly recommend her. And she's very affordable!

I used Maye and would not refer her to any of my clients.  For Cabo, I would refer:

Sorry you didn't have a good experience with her From my recent wedding on 8/13/13,  I thought she was fabulous and great to work with and very reasonably priced compared to all the high priced WC's in Cabos. Your wedding was in 2006...maybe she's more experienced now? Not sure but just sharing my 2 cents
