I was not married there but I went there last year. I hope its the same one.. it's in Nuevo Vallarta? Have you been there before? I only have general details about the resort, not about the wedding program.

It was a cheaper resort, I think we paid $1000 pp in high season, but I loved it and would go back in a minute.

The food was really good, there was a good variety of food, the was rarely a line up for drinks, there were a lot of drinks to chose from, and it was a great location.

The pool closest to the beach is pretty ugly, and its the first one you see when you go into the resort. Dont let that scare you, the rest are beautiful!  The beach is great too, lots of sea glass which I love hunting for.

You can get a massage on the beach for $20/hour :) well worth it.

The downside may be the rooms, which are not very pretty and don't have a mini-fridge. But they are immaculately clean, and no bugs at all (they must use a lot of pesticides). I didn't have a problem with the rooms at all.

The other downside is that the pool chairs dont have covers on them so they arent that comfy, but a lot of people bring floaties to sit on... no problem. Plus I never sit for more than 30 minutes before I get up to eat again anyways.

There are a lot of bars to chose from which is nice! The disco is huge and has good music. It was pretty dead when we went.

We never went to any of the shows but the stadium that they are in is very nice.

Any questions?

Ok I re-read that and it sounded negative, and I want to re-assure you that I LOVED it there.

I only put in the negative stuff so that you're not surprised, but that was seriously the ONLY negative stuff of the entire trip and it was all non-serious.

I've had 10+ friends go there over the years too and they all loved it too!!!

Hi jreist,

I have a question about the Royal Decameron Complex. Although we're not getting married there, we're staying there for our wedding coming up in January. I have stayed at Decameron hotels before so I know what to expect (love them, that's whey we chose them). But I read on reviews they don't have face clothes in the bathrooms. Is this true? I only ask because it not, I'd like to include some in our oot bags.

I'm not getting married there either, but I was just there this past April, and I really enjoyed my stay there. The nightly entertainment was actually quite fun. We went almost every night except for the night we had an excursion. One of the nights was couples' night, and my now FI and I actually participated in the show for the night. The staff there are truly amazing, very friendly. I never went to the disco as we were quite tired by the time the shows were over.

I do remember that the food was really good. I might have pictures of some of the dishes we had there on my computer as well (if you want to see them). There was 2 buffets from what I remembered, and about 4-5 a-la-carte restaurants there (where you had to get up early in the morning to make reservations, which was a bummer). There was a Brazilian steakhouse that my FI really enjoyed cause it was a LOT of meat! There was a Thai resturant, a Japanese restaurant, and an Italian one as well.

I barely stayed by the pool while I was there. The beach was pretty long and it was cleaned every morning from the seaweed. The chairs, I agree, were not the most comfortable. We ended up buying a floatie as well.

Overall though, this resort was great and very accomodating from my memories. The views were really nice, and the colourful buildings there will definitely make your wedding photos very interesting. Best wishes and happy planning!

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention.. I did notice that they were setting up for a wedding the day that I was leaving. I remembered their was an arch being set up in the garden right beside the main buffet area, and they were setting up chairs as well. The arch looked really pretty from what I remembered. I didn't actually get to see the wedding though, but I'm sure they did a great job prepping for it.
