Playacar Palace or Secrets Maroma

Has anyone been to both of these resorts, and if so, do you have a preference for a small wedding party?  I've been to Playacar and loved the beach.  And it was a convenient walk or bike ride into Playa del Carmen.  There doesn't seem to be a lot to do around Maroma Beach, and i don't want our guests to become bored.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!!

Maroma is often nominated one of the BEST beaches in the world and it's not that far away from the main attractions in the area: Mayan temples, cenotes, zip-lines, horse back riding, etc... You do need to take 20 minute cab ride if you want to go to downtown but if you have beach lovers in your party, they should be fine with that

Playacar Palace on the other hand, is conveniently located within walking distance of the heart of Playa del Carmen and is great venue for small wedding parties. It's also family friendly so the little ones are welcomed here too!!
