dress for Trash the Dress cenote photos

Recommended Posts

I'm debating all sorts of decisions including what type of dress to wear for cenote photos. I googled flowy, layers, tiered. I understand lightweight is better, and fabric like organza does not pick up as much dirt.  Could I have some opinions about these? I was hoping the layers would look interesting if I were spinning in a photo.

I like the 3^ one because is multilayer and it can create movement in the water.

Thanks for the opinions. I took a look at dressilyme and liked several of them. They are very strict about no returns, though.

Does anyone know of another place to search on-line with a search box to enter things like "layers" or "tiers" and then sort by price? I would feel much more comfortable if they allowed returns. I am thinking something that would fan out like flower petals would look good in the water.  Thanks again!

I had another idea to save some money on this. I started looking for bridesmaids dresses that come in white or ivory, and I found Billevkoff.com has some in my area for $144.  I still have not found lots of flowing layers, though, and haven't found a site that sorts by lowest price and allows returns. Thanks for all the thoughts and ideas!

Hola Ladies,

Without a doubt organza, layers and flowy dresses are the best for the Trash the Dress Sessions. Think of something comfortable to swim in and definitely do some practice holding your breath underwater and opening your eyes :)

Know that most of the times, the dress is not ruined but it actually washes off. If you are afraid of going in the jungle with your expensive gown than consider a second dress either custom made or similar to your actual wedding gown.

Here are some of our favorites:

I try to figure out which dress to choose from the two below or at least something similiar. I like the first dress because it is chic and flatery but second dress is just fun and suit my bubbling personality. I am planning to have mayan ceremony on the beach and trash the dress ceremony two days later. The first dress is chiffon and second is organza. Which do you like and which one should be best for TTD?
