symbolic ceremony at secrets maroma beach

I noticed on here that a lot of couples are getting married in the states, and having a symbolic ceremony in Mexico.  Has anyone had a symbolic wedding ceremony at Secrets Maroma?  If so, can you shed some light?  I wouldn't want our guests to know the difference.

the wedding planner told me that there isn't any difference between the two ceremony and noone will know about them.

You will sign document as well as legal ceremony.
