Weather in Jamaica

Hey guys my Fiance and I have decided to get married in 2012.  We're thinking about a summer wedding August but also have October in mind. However we've heard  that both of them are in the rainy months. We've also heard that it rains the most in October. Is is wise to have an October wedding in Jamaica?

Ive heard that tropical rains dont last very long anyways, it will rain and then the sun will come out.  A little bit cooler temps in October might be a little more comfortable. And Aug-Sept apparently is hurricane season. http://www.jamaica-dream-vacation.com/jamaica-weather.html

August is extremely hot and also risky as its hurricane season but we have weddings year round and during hurricane season. You have to decide if you want to take that chance. October, November and December are cooler months  but we do get some rain but not as much as Mayand early June, it usually doesnt last long but as you know we can't predict. Just have a back up plan in place if it rains. But in the summer months you get better rates at the hotels than during or closer to winter season.

We are trying to book our wedding for July 2013, but it may have to be in August. I hope it doesn't rain! Although going to Florida many times has shown me that most tropical rain storms last about a half hour and then move on!
