Table numbers

Recommended Posts

I have been searching this forum for a thread that had pics of what everyone was doing for their table numbers. In looking at old planning threads I found that I like a few but they are so old I am sure the member will not be on to post where they are from etc....

I am thinking of maybe doing where the table numbers are written in the sand pics but have not had any luck finding a template on here or maybe taking pics of my pug with a sombrero on with the number sign next to him! lol!

What is everyone doing?

Also does this have to match the place cards? I am still not sure of the place cards yet but I am leaning to the star fish in sand box with the names attached. (something easy)

Here is a picture of my escort cards and table numbers.  My husband is Chinese, so we incorporated his heritage with the Chinese characters (the tables were "double happiness", "family", "love", and friends").  Because we used a symbol, we were able to make that a focal point of the escort cards.  I think you could do the same thing with a photo.  I had planned to tie my escort cards to starfish and place them in sand, but honestly I didn't have the energy left to worry about the starfish breaking on the way to Mexico.  Instead I used a starfish punch and the wedding coordinator still had the cards upright in sand.  FYI - that frame is actually quite small (less than 4x6" opening) and was quite cheap at Michaels.

What a great idea! I love how you were able to incorporate his heritage! I would never have thought of that...too bad my FI isnt Chinese I would totally steal this! lol The starfish just seems like the easy thing to do but you are right they are probably very fragile & may break...

I initially really wanted the starfish too, but was worried that I would get there with a bunch of broken place card holders.  Instead we went with seashells and absolutely love them!  They came packaged with bubble wrap and I think they will travel quite well.  Here's the link: http://www.beau-coup.com/natural-seashell-place-card-holders.htm.  We continued with the seashell theme and made the table numbers in a larger version, also held up by the same seashells.
