Deciding between two resorts in the RM! So torn!

We are getting married at Aventura Palace and moving to another resort in the RM for our honeymoon. After MUCH research, we've narrowed it down to Grand Velas and Secrets Maroma Beach. We did a site visit for our wedding at GV and the grounds were immaculate, the food was amazing (unlike some AI) and the ocean front plunge pool rooms are heavenly! The only reason we didn't choose it for our wedding was affordability for our guests.

I've also heard amazing things about SMB - it's rated highly on Trip Advisor and the beach looks beautiful! My only concern is it being TOO crowded. We're in our late 20's/early 30's so we like to have fun, but we also want relaxation as well

Any insight, advice, pics, etc. are HIGHLY appreciated! We can't decide!!

We just stayed at Adventura Cove for a wedding in December! We saw Secrets, it seems nice. But have you considered Barcelo Premium? That was our favorite, we hope to go back and stay there soon!

I've heard great things about Barcelo Premium and hope to make a visit one day! We decided to go with Grand Velas - thanks for your feedback!
