Wow! You girls are all over it I love this thread! I'm gonna miss you guys when you get married and are done on here!! I sure hope when I start an April 2012 thread it is as much fun as this board.

Teira- I'm a huge fan of dress 2 because it was one of my friends wedding dresses that she got from Nordstrom and it was absolutely gorgeous on her! You look beautiful in it.

Mocha- Those rhinestone hair pieces and headbands are beautiful! Did you find those on the same site Brandy is on?

Lisa- Greece!! I can't wait to hear about it! You will have to come back to this thread and post pictures. I want to plan a one year anniversary for us to go there.

Lua- I love your puzzles. Thanks for sharing that with us...I so want to do those now!

You could try emailing her and telling her if she doesn't give you the credit you will be canceling at their resort. See what she says to that! $500 is alot of money!

Any of you start shopping around for OOT bags. We have such a long time to plan so I am tryoing to get things done early so that I can afford everything I want. I found some great OOT bags...a little pricey but I am getting them because I want my guests to reuse them over and over etc. I ordered 10 this week and out of my next paycheck I will order another 10.

In real life they are both the same size. My colors will be tangerine orange and apple green with hot pink accents!

I am such a control freak!!! It is so hard for me to wait till last minute for anything. I am trying to get her to take my deposit to hold my date. I am really nervous because I have already started making things for my wedding with the specific date on it. I have shared emails back and forth with her for months and she said I could hold my date with a credit card around December of 2010. I'm just so worried another bride has paid and gotten the date I want. I wish I had a more patient self and wasn't so controlling. We picked the date so far out so that all of our friends and family could afford going. Now I wish we said to hell with it and were getting married this April. Rudebaga when is your wedding? Is it getting close?

@jana297: I wouldn't worry too much if you're not getting quick responses from Claudia at this point...and I don't know that putting urgent on your emails will help...your wedding is over a year away, they're do weddings all the time and are swamped with the planning for weddings coming up in the next month, I'm sure you can understand why they would put your email on hold compared to all the brides emailing whose weddings are in the coming weeks.  They don't really get "on it" on replying to your emails until your wedding is about 3 months away or less. If there are specific things you want that are different than what your wedding package has, then clarify any changes you want (ie: a different photographer, and outside florist, etc)...but for things that your package includes like picking your menu or flowers, you have lots of time before they'll start going over all that with you

These super cute boutique flip flops were created for a client of mine as a gift for her maid of honor who is attending her beach wedding. What a nice gift!

Glad you got your deposit back from her. I am using the resort for my flowers they may be more expensive but at least I will know they are done right.

I received an email from Julieta tonight with an attached receipt of the transfer for refunding me 70% of my deposit.  She had told me she would make the refund on January 4th...which she did! Unfortunately though she had to wire the refund to me instead of doing it through paypal since she is unable to use her account right now due to other refund situations and disputes. She handled the situation very well and very professionally with me while I discussed with her that although my centerpieces may turn out beautifully from the current reviews I just couldn't take the chance and have the stress and worrying about my centerpieces the whole time.  She explained how sorry she was to lose my business but ultimately if that was what would put me at ease she understood.

 

I can't say I wouldn't recommend Julieta, but I would be cautious.

Do you have a Nordstrom near you? If you do they have a huge shoe department and I mean huge. If you look you can find some reasonable shoes! Also don't rule off buying white satin and then have them dyed your color.

I got a hangover template from another bride on here that shared her template. I am trying to attach it hold on.  She has it on another thread. I hope this helps. She got these cute long white favor boxes and filled them up and used these labels on the top. So cute!

Hi and welcome back. I think I am your polor opposite lol! I have been getting stuff for my OOT bag and I am still 1 year and 3 months out! We too have a site visit like you. We are leaving April 1rst. You saw her flower book!! I have been dying to know what it consists of. Tell me when you get a chance if it is real pictures of real bouquets her florist has actually done! Good luck and yippeee you are 5 months out!!

Brandy- I'm glad you love your dress. Sounds like an easy fix with the alterations. As far as taking the weight off you can do that easy enough! When you have a dress to look at hanging in the closet it is well worth the effort. Just came from the gym myself...suffered but I know all for a good cause!

Hmmm static...don't know...do you have static guard. How about a damp clean cloth. If it is silk do not use a damp cloth.

Teira the whiteboard is that board where you can write with marker and then it erases for the next person to write a message and you have someone take pics of the people with their message on the board and maybe some props and use that for your guestbook. i am doing this as well as the postcard guestbook. Doing the whiteboard thing more for fun and my 14year old cousin is going to be the photographer to keep him occupied as he has no one else there his age.

My starfish placecard holders and starfish for the centerpieces have been shipped and I ordered pens from discount pens. I only need 50 but had to order a minimum of 100 so if anyone likes this pen and this logo and is getting married in the mayan riviera with my same colors we could split the cost!
