I am not getting married on the beach. I'm getting married at what they call the "Sky Garden Gazebo" location, just above the beach. We wanted grass instead of sand, and I'm pretty sure that we raised such a fuss (looooong story) that they created this location just for us! It's now one of the options they offer to all brides, I think. If we get down there and don't like the location we'll just suck it up and get married on the sand.
Like amybermuda, I too am doing the Free Wedding package. I priced it out and it made more sense for us than the other packages. We're also getting the upgrades as are our guests. However, our guests are getting the upgraded rooms b/c of the contract we negotiated and not b/c of the resort's promotion. -

Over a year ago, I lost 60 lbs and I've been able to keep it off. I lost the weight over 13 months (avg ~1 lb a week). My best advice is just stay focused, watch your portions, and go slow! My philosophy is that the slower you lose it, the more likely it is to stay off b/c you've learned along the way what it takes to be healthier. It's all about portion control and exercise. There were certainly weeks where I gained weight, and it can be hard not to get discouraged. But weight fluctuations are natural, and as long as the overall trend is the way you want it to be, you're doing great!
Oh, and don't deprive yourself either! If you want that piece of pizza, then go eat it! Just only have one piece, or balance it with a salad, or pair it with some exercise. If you deprive yourself you're only going to want it more and more until you finally cave in and then OVERindulge.
Just my two cents. Good luck!!! -
Congrats on picking the resort! I think you picked the best one, but I may be a bit biased
Go you on your invitations! An early start is good.
We used to have an AB thread, but it mysteriously disappeared a few months back. So now we're pretty much just on the AS thread, like the other girls have mentioned.
I think of the current brides on the thread, I'm the next up at AB. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!

Congratulations!!! I mean that seriously...it's hard not to gain weight! I lost 60 pounds over a year ago (and have kept it off!), so I know just how hard it can be. Slow and steady is the way to go! And not having gained weight, if even for a week, is worth celebrating

Nice job! Great idea about having the stickers be removable!

My best advice is don't let the WC and hotel dealings change you from being laid-back to stressed. You're starting early so you have lots of time. Happy planning! -

I have mixed emotions... do think I should be ok with it?
That is one fabulous picture!! Your face is mostly hidden, so I wouldn't worry about people recognizing you. BUT, your photog should definitely have asked you first! -
Ladies, I'm so excited today!!
I just met with my BD photographer and booked my session for March! I am just thrilled to have found someone in my area. There aren't too many that do boudoir in Austin and I was all set to go to Dallas. Yay!!

I'm even more excited now! I hope we get the same stellar experience over at AB!

I don't know of specific Cabo photogs, but we're flying in ours. Andrew Jordan Photography. You can find him on here as GroomsArePeopleToo. He has been absolutely wonderful to work with thus far!

Alright, another AB bride!! I'll be there just a couple weeks before you. Welcome!

You all at AS must have a lot more cake choices than we have at AB. Your hazelnuts and other unique flavors sound amazing!!! I'm quite jealous. At AB, we get to choose between 5 cakes, all either vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry.
I sent them pics of two absolutely gorgeous but simple cakes to get them priced, and they came back being twice as expensive as their own cakes. Ridiculous! Imo, they were simpler than the ones they offer but one thing for sure about Karisma, they really stick you with a high price tag if you deviate from what they offer!

This is the one thing that bugs me about AB. People pay all this money to get mediocre rooms. I want a jacuzzi in my room damnit! But, I figure that since this is truly the only thing on my "Do Not Like" list about AB, it's worth staying for all the other reasons I love it.

I'm with all the other ladies--keep it a secret for sure! First of all, how often will you get to give a surprise this big and great? Second of all, no guy is going to look at a book of sexy pics his wife gave him and be thinking, "Gee, you're wearing the wrong thing!" He probably won't be looking at what you're wearing at all!

Wow, amazing!! It looks like you had such a beautiful and well-put together wedding! It's clear you two put a LOT of thought into your guests and your wedding.
Xcaret was in our top two when picking resorts, though we ended up not choosing it strictly for its size. Given how yours turned out, maybe we should have!
I can't wait to see more pictures!

KittenHeart,
I picked up the tags today from the post office. Thanks so much!!! I'm going to cut off the bottom part and they'll be perfect! These are such a nice treat for me b/c they weren't something that had even crossed my mind. Now *poof!* this great idea has popped into my lap! I'm going to ship them ahead of time along with our programs/itinerary, so that guests get them as they check in!
