About a month and a half after getting engaged, I noticed a rash on my ring finger. The ring is platinum but I have sensitive skin (eczema sometimes) so I wasn't totally surprised just totally bummed out.  I've stopped wearing it in the shower and try not to put it on while my hand is still wet. I've even tried not wearing it for awhile. Rash eventually returns.  I'm going to make an appointment with my dermatologist to see if there's anything they can do.  Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?  worried2.gif

You can try taking an allergy pill like zyrtec or claritin OTC and that might help.  If you clean your ring it could be what you are using stays on the inside of the ring and agitates your skin.  But I agree that you should go to your dermatologist

This happened to one of my good friends.  What she ended up doing was having the ring made slightly bigger and then the inside of the ring they lined with 18k yellow gold, that way it has less other metals added to it.  Her rash went away within a few days and she has had no problems since.
