Store for Your Wedding Needs: Poll

Recommended Posts

I am curious to know the interest in this idea, thanks for your input!!

The question is:

Would you make purchases through a website that sold premium alcohol for your open bar, centerpieces, floral arrangements, beach themed and traditional decor, printed items like brochures and menus etc.? This online store would allow you to order the items you need and they would be delivered to your resort/hotel when you arrive to the Dominican Republic, normally 2-3 days before your wedding day.

How long has this website been in business?  I think depending on reviews and accredited information I may entertain the idea.  I'm a little skeptical on doing it on with one place (one stop website shop) b/c if it isn't legit then you're totally screwed!!!

This poll is a "what-if" this website existed in the DR. In the whole destination wedding planning process, my FI and I are considering creating a web store that perhaps can focus on a few DW items that would be bulky or fragile to travel with such as glass vases, large tablecloths, etc. This would remove the inconvenience of traveling with so much stuff and at the same time offer the customer a variety of options for centerpieces and say, table linens at a cheaper cost than renting or buying them at the resort.

Or another idea my FI and I are having is providing liquor to couples at the resorts (premium liquor), my FI is Dominican and has some connections to start finding out sources for this type of service. For now these are ideas we are considering for a store, the whole planning a destionation wedding has really opened my eyes to a need in this area of the Caribbean that has not been developed as of now.
