Convertible Dresses

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about buying convertible dresses for my BMs, but I would love to know how they look on ACTUAL girls! All the pictures are of super skinny models...I would love to hear anyone who's bought the dresses' opinion!

Would people be willing to share pics and reviews on Convertible Dresses?? The ones I'm looking at are the Ravon dresses that are on Ideeli right now!

Thanks ladies!

I don't have pics BUT I bought convertible dresses for my BM from www.henkaa.com and they love them.  My BMs are all different sizes yet kinda short so I wanted something that each one would enjoy and not get too hot in.  One of the things that I did prior to purchase is to get the fabric of the color you want.  What you see on line is different from what you get.  Also look at the fabric from the competitor.  I chose henkaa because it was nearly identical to the two birds dresses.  (two birds are $200 or more a dress).  I hope this helps.

Thanks! Good to know! The only people I'm worried about not liking them are my 17 year old sisters...they are very opinionated and only wear what is "cool". LOL oh to be young...

what are the body types of your bridesmaids?

honestly--i have hated any convertible dress i have tried on to the point of not even walking out of the dressing room to show others!!! the chest never fits right and it ends up looking like im wearing a big bag of fabric. BUT i'm 5'10" size 4 and larger busted. i actually think (regardless of what the model pictures show) that if you aren't tall or if you are an average/shorter height and have some curve in your waist and butt-then these would be beautiful!!! but i dont thing bigger busted would EVER work in these dresses. think larger C cup plus. it just isnt practical.

so--shorter/average height women without big boobs--yes!!!! taller woman or woman with larger busts--NO!!

Very true!

Luckily my little sisters are a little taller than me 5'1, and maybe a 100lbs. They DEFINITELY don't have big boobs! My older sister is maybe 5'3, and also slender...she has more of a chest though...HMMMMMM I was thinking is would be almost impossible to wear these dresses with a bra... And to think I almost bought one for myself...I'm about a D cup! YIKES! Haha!

My BM's all have different sizes 3-12 and body types and all of them love theirs! I think one thing that helped was that I picked the dresses about nine months before the big day in order for all the girls to have time to get comfortable with them and find out which way they like them best! I know that boob support has been a big subject of talk though, all the girls deciding if they are really comfortable wearing nothing or working with convertible bras. I hope the hot pink ones end up working for you!
