Ahhh, just having a moment where I am absolutely hands-down in love with this site!!!!  Because of BDW:

 

I was able to narrow down from "Let's get married somewhere warm with a beach" to "Let's get married in Riviera Maya, Mexico"

Picked our PERFECT resort

Met other DW brides from my area so we can swap ideas, decorations, etc

Learned how to make my wedding website and was able to borrow some AMAAAAAZING ideas for it

Got ideas for the perfect ceremony script

Learned that I can actually get married here in the States before or even AFTER having a symbolic ceremony in Mexico (and my guests would be none the wiser)

Got ideas for my photographer for TTD session - I didn't even know what TTD was before this forum!!!!

Found chair sashes at NO cost on the sashes freecycle forum!!!!

Got referrals from other brides for a TA

 

And all this and my wedding is still a year away!  I can't to see how much more this forum is able to help me plan the wedding of my dreams, and how much I am able to give back to the other brides on this forum.  Thanks so much ladies, and of course the moderators of BDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I second that!  I avoided so much stress and silly "wish I would have known" moments thanks to this community. Such a great place to vent about crazy bride moments to people who get it too! 

Even now that my wedding has come and gone, I still find myself on here daily!!

My wedding was last May and I still love this site.  It helped A LOT when I was planning and I really wish that I found the site much earlier in my planning process.  So it's awesome that you still have a full year to plan.  This website and the ladies here are AWESOME!!!

I AGREE perry1217! I have learned so much through this site. I recommended to everyone...even Brides who aren't even having destination weddings or women who are not even engaged yet! This is the best site ever! Great post.

I agree, I'm always telling people who aren't having destination weddings about this site because there is still tons of useful information for them as well!

I agree, I constantly find myself lurking on the sites and everyday I walk away with another DIY project.  I have started my boarding passes and they are coming out wonderfully...I only have 3 months, yet I am sooo glad I came across this forum. 

 

THANKS to all the brides before me - I am super excited about this process and not the least bit stressed (at least not yet, LOL)
