Dominican favors

Hi,

 

I am having a tough time deciding what to give as favors for my AHR.  I am now thinking of buying little gifts in the dominican like fridge magnets or shooter glass and give them at the AHR.  I think it would be special to have the gifts come from the dominican directly.  I would ask my BM and GM to bring some back with them so if 15 people put 10 little favors in their suitcases that would be enough and I dont think it would be too heavy.

Has someone else done this?? How did it go??

That's a great idea! I haven't been for my DW, but that sounds pretty reasonable.

I used to live in the DR and the one thing that is amazing there is the coffee! The Santo Domingo brand (it is found in grocery stores for around 80 pesos--about 3 bucks for a one pound bag)

 

I would bring a bunch of those home and then make up little individual coffee favours. Like enough scoops for one pot of coffee and put them in a cute decorative bag or something.

 

It would be very inexpensive and purely Dominican!

 

Also, the pure vanilla is very inexpensive there too! You could buy little bottles and bottle some pure vanilla and give those out.
