name cards?

Just saw the new Martha Stewart Destination Wedding magazine for oct 2010.

In it are these ideas for name cards that are really cool.

These little bottles, with scrolls and sand and when you open it up they have the guests names and their seating!  Totally adorable.

I also saw shells with names and numbers on them.

What are you all doing?

I am not sure what I am doing, if I am doing anything. Our wedding is at the end of the week and all our guests will know each other by then. But I definatly want to find that magazine and buy it tomorrow!

I saw those in the magazine too and they look really cool. I am doing name cards attached to starfish.

I am also doing name cards attached to starfish.  Are you putting them in a box with sand?  I haven't been able to find a good box (that is affordable).  My friend used some cooking sheet or pan and spray painted it to match her wedding colors.  And other ideas?

I just bought that magazine yesterday! We looove the idea of using those little bottles with the corks for name cards - I have no idea where to get them though. Any luck? I was thinking Michaels, but I took a look today and didn't see anything similar...

I also went out and bought the magazine and loved them also.  I may have to look into cost for this now.

I haven't seen the mag yet, so i don't know what they look like, but check oriental trading as they have message in a bottle with scrolls on their site and do not cost much. They sell in bulk!
