St Thomas Wedding June 2011 WC Help

Hi,

 

We are planning to get married in St Thomas in June of next year. After doing some researching in the forums here, we are interested in the following WC:

 

Leslie from Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas

Janelle from Wedding Planner St Thomas Wedding Planners St John VI Wedding Venues Planning

Angela from St. Thomas Weddings, St. Thomas Wedding, St. Thomas Wedding Packages, St. Thomas Wedding Planner, US Virgin Islands Weddings, US Virgin Islands Wedding Packages.

 

We have just begun to contact each of them for general information and prices. Does anyone have any recommendations on which of the sites/WC are better? We have gone through some of the 35 page thread and it seems that all 3 are very popular.

 

We are interested in Magens Bay and would have about 10 guests.

I've been in contact with Janelle and she is the sweetest person. So happy and helpful, always replies within a day and has fantastic packages at a great price. I will be booking her shortly!

We actually changed our minds and have been talking to Janelle as well.  She seems great so far.  Likely going to book very soon with her.

I didn't have a very good experience with Angela.  I loved their website and the packages they offered.  But once they had the deposit, the communication went downhill.  It took them weeks to respond to questions.  I didn't have a contact number for them, and when I did a web search and found one I realize it must be a personal phone because it was answered with a very unprofessional "hello".  When asked why the poor communication I was told they were on vacation because it was hurricane season.  My question is why not a simple email "away message" to let your clients know?  The only time they were bang on with emailing me was when they wanted more $$$ for the second deposit.

 

Since poor communication remained so I chose to turn to Weddings the Island way.  They were FANTASTIC!  They went above and beyond my expectations and the day was perfect!

I'm using Janelle with Island Bliss and she has been wonderful!!!  I was having a hard time deciding the location for the welcome dinner (and I'm on a budget, so some places were a little out of my price range) and she gave me SO many options and we located one that is PERFECT for me and my FI!!!  One the beach and reasonably priced!!!

 

She always responds quickly and gives me great feedback!

Hi!! I am using Janelle and love her too!!! I was wondering where y/ou ended up having a welcome dinner? We are on a budget too and I am running into problems with that. Where did you have your reception? Thank you so much for the info!!! ANy and all budget advice is so appreciated!!

We actually havent figured out a place yet. We have 7 months to go, and it seems that just about every place has crazy prices. We have checked prices from Oceana, Craig + Sallys (They arent bad, just dont have much room), Herve, Bolongo Bay restaurants. We really like Blue Moon Cafe as they had pretty good prices, but they arent sure if the hotel will renew their contract, which ends end of May..right before our wedding.

 

Need to try to find a place that isnt going to charge $50/person for open bar for 4 hours.  Only Blue Moon cafe so far has had good rates on open bar.

Hi,

 I'm also on a budget and was told that Fish Tales was really good and priced right. It is on the east side of the island. Most of the other places are too expensive for our budget. I hope that helps.
