Is it enough?

Recommended Posts

Lately I have been thinking (maybe too much), are we doing enough for our guests? We are having a small wedding (20-24 people) in Turks and Caicos. The first day we are hosting a catered welcome bonfire BBQ. And of course the wedding reception. All events are open bar. Should we do more for our guests? should we host deep sea fishing/snorkeling in addition to BBQ? brunch the day after?

how many events are you hosting?

Hey there!! I am getting married at Beaches Turks and Caicos!! And we are not doing much at all besides OOT bags and showing our appreciation etc. WHat you really have to think is, it's not only your wedding, but it is a vacation for your guests and they dont want you to plan the entire trip for them. They want to do their own thing, spend time with friends and family and spend time with their own family. I think the wedding is a bonus. I wouldnt go crazy trying to plan things and then you dont want your guests to feel pressured to come along. Just my opinion, but I have also heard this from others. Plenty of stuff going on that they can join in on. Hope that helped!

I agree. I've read bridal magz, and they say you should Host atleast one thing. I believe you got yourself covered for that. We aren't even doing a private reception since it'll be no more then 15 people showing up. I am doing the oot bags and a favour at the sit down dinner. For me it's more the money I have to watch out, after all it's one of the reason we are doing a DW, it's cheaper, until you starting adding all of these things!

I work with a girl who has stayed at The Sands several times and LOVES it - as in it's her favorite place ever according to her, lol. She and her husband went down there several years ago, and just loved it SO much that they have went back at least once a year every year and they always stay at The Sands. Her pictures looked amazing - I'm sure your DW is going to me beautiful!!
