Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

I read someone's post on Facebook that only one wedding is scheduled per day at Dreams. Has anyone else heard this or heard otherwise? I was just curious if we would have to share our day with anyone else.

Im getting married May 2010 2 dreams tulums... I have a question is it better to find outside vendor for flower,lines,DJ ect. or should I go with resort. I've been looking for vendors but it really hard. if anyone knows of any vendors please let me know

It will be great if it is only one wedding per day! I know the other Dreams Resorts do up to 3 per day in the very busy season. Not sure if this will be the case for DRC. If anyone knows for certain please pass along the info.

Just read on Facebook that they can accommodate more than one wedding in a day but did not say exactly how many is the max in one day. I posted the question there hopefully Rod will answer soon. Will let you all know if he says anything.

Yeah, I actually saw Rod's response after I posted the question on this forum. I guess the person who posted that there would only be one wedding per day was incorrect. Bummer!

I wonder how that will work. I was told that I could tentatively choose my wedding/reception location and then change my mind at a later date. Now I'm worried that if I change my mind, it may be too late. I wonder if it would be one wedding in the early afternoon and one in the evening. So at least we would still have our choice of locations.

Yay!! Well I received the contract, made some revisions and now I'm just waiting to get it back, sign and send in the deposit. It's been almost a week now and I'm worried because originally sent it to Claudia, but now that Ana has replaced her I wonder if it got lost in the transition. Hmm, I'm not going to worry about it. I'm sure all is ok and hopefully my TA is on top of it, lol.

We have done the exact same thing. Made some minor changes, signed it and emailed it back to Claudia. Ana has sent an email saying she has the file but has not confirmed our date. I am a little worried too but cross our fingers it will all work out well.

SDBeachgirl - That does suck about there being more than one wedding a day. I would assume that they would have them at different times but the resort is not THAT big. It is hard to pick the locations for the reception because not sure how many people we will have and the options.

Does anyone know the reception options for this resort in specific?

The options I was given were, the terrace, the deck, the sand, or the ballroom. There may be other locations. I think I read something on facebook about the area around the pool.

I will take a better look at the facebook page for that info. There is so much info on that page that it is a little overwhelming and tough to keep up to date with all the posts. I like the pool area I think. A beach reception does sound nice but based on reviews from brides that used the beach it can be windy and difficult to eat a meal out there. Looking forward to when they post the resort layout. Should be soon I hope! How excited are you!?
