Wedding Dresses in Toronto

Recommended Posts

i wasn't a big fan of the service at ritchie bridal or jealous bridesmaids in toronto. nor were their dresses under $1000.

check out bridal fraire on spadina. they were helpful there, had a tonne of dresses and good prices under $1000.

i actually bought my dress at it's your day in lasalle, on...even though i live in toronto.

there is something to be said for good service when you are spending all that money!!!

good luck!

I was going to make an appt at Jealous Bridesmaids! What didn't you like about them? Just so I know what to expect.

I went to Bridal Image in Mississauga. They actually had a small selection Destination Wedding dresses under ranging from $199-$699.

well for starters i didn't like that on their website they said they had tonnes of dresses in stock. when i went i would say they had about 40 if that. the store is very clean, neat, the staff is nice but...when i was there i made an appointment. my mom & i were the only ones in the store besides the 3 ladies working there. i tried on about 6-8 dresses. i picked a couple, but they kept bringing me style of dresses i said i didn't like. the one dress i did like, they put away and wouldn't let me try on again. i thought that was weird because we were the only ones in the store. they did write down the name for me & style number. i just didn't enjoy the experience, or attitude there. i figure if you are going to pay that kind of money for a dress, you should enjoy the process, and the service. i had no desire to go back there and i think if i found a dress i liked there i probably would of looked elsewhere for it. it's unfortunate too because i live about 10mins from there.

now however, another friend of mine who is getting married as well went there and she loved the service & the store although she ended up getting her dress at bridal fraire after i told her about that place.

good luck if you do decide to go.

another place i was told to check out but never made it too was 'pearl' in port credit.

I bought my dress at Bridal Fashion Fraire at Adelaide and Spadina and have nothing but great things to say about them.

Windsor Bridal is worth a look as they have a ton of dresses available to try on. The service at Pearl Bridal House was excellent. I would also give Jealous Bridesmaids a miss for the exact same reasons as midnight24.

I ordered my dress from "Promises and Lace" in Burlington (I know, the name is horrible) and so far so good. They have great store policies and the service was good. They ordered my dress in for me (sight unseen) but they did have a pretty good selection of dresses in store as well. Lots of stuff that was a little different too.

I will know more when my dress arrives!

interesting you had a similiar experience too. i was wondering if i was being too particular or not about my trip there. i just figure if you go to a store and the service is so good, it's hard to spend your money at a place where it isn't, especially since you will have to be dealing with them repeatedly with dress fittings, etc.

I BOUGHT MY DRESS TODAY!!! hehe. Tried on a few other ones at random places. Didn't like them as much as the one i saw @ Bridal Desires, so went back and got it. Joanna is very helpful and doesn't pressure you into buying anything. She also helped me choose a veil, tiara and jewelry to go with it so i'm all set to go! cheesy.gif

I would recommend Beckers Bridal or the Dressroom on the danforth. they had a number of really great flowy, light dresses for such a great price. I found one for $300 and $500 that I really loved. Though I ended up getting a dress at Bridal and Beyond.
