VIP Member TATrisha Posted June 12, 2007 VIP Member Share Posted June 12, 2007 I'm sorry Courtney. I'm one of those complete wierdos who LOVE the dentist... but I've never even had a cavity, so that pretty much explains it. I LOVE the feeling of clean teeth. I hope it's not too painful for you. Umm, I've never heard of your kind before!! lol. So when I say that I can smell the dentist office, you're wondering if they'll come out with a perfume, "dentist office" smell?! lol
TammyB
Oh that sucks. I'm sorry, it really doesn't sound like fun.
VIP Member TATrisha Posted June 13, 2007 VIP Member Share Posted June 13, 2007 I actually don't know of a dentist smell. I guess it's only one of those smells you notice when you hate the dentist I do dislike floride though. Yuck. Back when I was little they'd make me keep it in for five minutes. Well, i have issues with keeping things in my mouth and I'd puke after two. every time. You'd think they'd get the hint! Thank goodness technology is what it is nowadays! It's only one minute now and although I still start to gag, I don't actually upchuck anymore!
RAENJAY
I'm so sorry Courtney! Root canals really do suck. I've had 2 and need 1 more, so I feel your pain. Mine has to wait until we get back though - OUCH!

I think it has to do with some of the solutions they use; and it's definitely more noticeable when you're there for longer than the average cleaning. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. -V-

Well, I get the needle when I go in, which is half the problem right there. Seriously, do they need a needle that's like 3 feet long?!! Afterwards, he gives me a perscription for painkillers if I need it, but last time I only needed it for my jaw because I had my mouth open for the 5 hours for the root canals. Hopefully I won't need them this time. *fingers crossed*
