Mmtongo,

Were you able to switch for the same price? I was also looking into Dreams Riviera Cancun... I just know the wedding to be one of the Dreams resorts... but I was thinking to book Dreams Tulum and maybe switch later. I want to get married in May 2010 too!!

I switched for a couple reasons:

1. Locatio: The resort is 2 hours from the airport. I didn't want my guests to travel 3-4 hours on a plane then have to go for a 2 hour drive. Riviera Cancun is only 25 minutes away.

2. The mixed reviews were making me nervous. Many of the complaints about Dreams Tulum are complaints about the beach and the older section 2 things that probably wont change. I figured i would take my chances on a resort with no reviews.

Yes, my travel agent was able to work with the resort to have everything switched over. The price of my wedding package did not change. We chose the Ultimate packe which is $2650.

So the cost per person for travel remained the same? Thats awesome!! I am starting to see some really good rates for the Dreams resorts from Canada at least.... well better than they were a month ago anyways! But when I try for Dreams R.C. they are still on the pricey side i.e. well over 2000 a person which is more than I want to spend...
