The location of the beach ceremony is beautiful. It is on the far right side of the resort right off the Excellence section. It was nice that it is a covered area so your guests won't get too hot. Note that it is on the border of the property line, and to the right of the ceremony location, there were lots of beach goers and locals looking on. But - the ceremony site is set back pretty far from the water, so it isn't really intrusive, although they may get in your pictures.

The reception location outdoors (shown in last recep photos posted by endlesslove) upstairs past the lobby overlooking the ocean and resort is beautiful!!! I also saw a reception set up on the sand that was decorated Mexican style which was pretty cool, but more public as it is in the center of the resort on the beach.

The resort is beautiful and whatever you all decide, you will have a great time.

I'm at the Excellence Riviera right now. We just had our symbolic wedding this past Tuesday, June 16. We did the Love Package (Silver Package). congratulations! excellent photos- looks like a great time was had by all....also, it seems that 'tiffany' blue is a very popular color choice for the beach setting....but it goes SO well!

For everyone who had already had their wedding- did you rent a car? I'm worried about our guests getting to the resort. Does the resort have a shuttle that pics you up or did your guests get a cab?

endless love, do you mean getting to the resort from the airport? transfers were included in my vacation package to and from the airport. i've been to a few other resorts in mexico in the past and there was a shuttle bus that took us to the resort from the airport. it had travelers going to different resorts and made stops at different resorts to drop everyone off.

did you decide to do a DJ or music during your reception

For the cocktail hour/reception we went ahead and brought an IPOD and speaker dock. It worked out well. We didn't want to spend any extra. I don't think most people even would've noticed if there was music or not.
