We are having an afternoon ceremony at Caesars in the Venus gardens, then going for photos along the strip, then our reception is at Maggianos in Fashion Show Mall. So far we have 56 people going down to Vegas with us. We are waiting to hear from 2 more people. I have my dress going in for alterations in two weeks and I just need to send pics to our wedding coordinator so she can get a bouquet made for me. I got my bridesmaids fake bouquets because Caesars was way too pricey for what I wanted.
There is less then 3 months till our wedding and I am beyond excited!!! I can't wait to get back to Vegas again!!

Hope the planning is going really well for everyone else!!!
What's your date? It seems like we are pretty close together! I start alterations next week! I also got fake bouquets for my BMs since the Flamingo wanted 19.50 for one rose. I was like "Are you kidding?"

Hi Ladies,

MyTurn..... I'm also getting married at Caesar's!!! Where were you getting your bridesmaids fake bouquets done? In Vegas or back home? I'm also worried about the extra costs since I'll have 4 bridesmaids with me. Congratulations on having so many people come out for your wedding. Thats around the number my fiance and I are hoping for! You'll have so much fun!

Foxy Bride - Our date is September 5th. So close yet still seems far away!! I just wanted Gerber Daisies for my bouquets and Caesars quoted me right around 600 for 4 BM bouquets and my own. I was shocked so I searched around to find fake ones!! I just couldn't justify spending that much money on something that will just get thrown out.

Canadianheather - I actually used budgetbride.com for my fake flowers. They were awesome and the bouquets turned out really nice! I just got the 5 flower one in Gerbers done. They were really quick with getting them to me too. I can take some pics tonight and try to post them tomorrow if you would like. When is your wedding date? Are you getting married in the gardens at Caesars? ARe you having a reception? Sorry about all the questions!!!

I would love to see the pics!!!

Do you know if Caesar's is charging you the $200 for using an outside vendor?

Are you shipping them down to Vegas or bringing them on the plane?

Our wedding date is right after yours!! September 30, 2009. We are getting married in the Classico Chapel, however if the heat isn't too bad i may change it to the garden chapel. I absolutely fell in love with the garden chapel but it was 97 degrees every day we were their last year and I don't want sweat beads on my forehead in my wedding pics! If the weather is cooler and no one else has booked it the day of our wedding, we may change it.

For our reception we have booked Joe's in the Forum Shops. We have a private room. It's gorgeous and the food is AMAZING!!! Afterwards we have a limo bringing everyone to the Bar at Times Square in New York New York for a night of dueling piano's!

By the end of September the weather in Vegas has cooled down to more like 80 degrees during the day. Late Sept/early Oct is actually some of the best weather all year. If you really think you might want the garden chapel, you should look into it now. We were going to do the garden chapel but 6 months out, when we were ready to book, the day was completely sold out!

I got my bouquets from eBay but I checked Budget-Bride, weddings, wedding flowers, make it yourself wedding flowers and veils for spring, summer, fall and winter and I might use them for the groomsmen's bouts. Their prices seem really reasonable and it's just one flower so I can't see myself paying $20 each. I think some of these chapels are crazy with their wedding mark-ups!

Foxy,

We were actually there last year during the last week of September. Kinda why we picked the 30th. We celebrated our pre-wedding anniversary! HEHE. Anyways it was 98 one day and 97 every other day (we were there a total of 4 days). Most people thought it was pretty normal weather for that time of year because in August it's usually around 120 degrees so that in fact is cooled down a bit. If you check the weather network for the averages in Vegas, it is usually still in the 90's during September. It doesn't dip down to the 80's til mid October. That's why April and October are Vegas' biggest tourist months! I'll watch the weather but I think we'll keep it inside for now.

They are actually building a second replica of the garden chapel that is set to be finished this summer with the expansion of the new pool area. So there will be two outside chapels by September. We are getting married on a Wednesday so it won't be as busy and hopefully the garden chapel will still be available if we want it. (at least one of them!)

I also have a Princess style dress, so that doesn't help! I just couldn't go with a simple dress! I get hot just putting it on at the store with all those layers!

Goodluck with your wedding! I've been to Vegas 11 times now so if you have any questions I'll try to help if I can!

Heather

One more thing Foxy....

Have you talked to your wedding co-ordinator about whether you have to pay the $200 outside vendor fee for your flowers?

Its not like you used another florist or anything but they seem to be particular about these things. I am paying the $200 to have MY BROTHER play the piano at our ceremony!

Sorry Heather, I didn't get on here this past weekend. I will try and post the pics of my flowers tonight! I have told our wedding coordinator about the silk flowers and she didn't mention having to pay anything extra! I hope I don't have to pay to bring them in.

I'm not going to ship them down to Vegas, I am going to pack them in shoe boxes and get people to put them in their luggage. I will have a few days to straighten them out if they get bent a little bit!!

I am so jealous that you got Joe's! That's where we wanted to have our reception but they were booked on our date! Oh well, I am sure we will have a good time!

Did you have to book a table at the piano bar in New York New York? I am looking into doing something after our reception and wasn't sure what!

Another question, I am thinking of having a dinner the night before the wedding for any of our guests who are there and don't have plans. Any ideas of where i could have it?? Also someone we talked to at Caesars told us that there is an outdoor bar at like harrahs? Anyone know the name of this place? I can't seem to find it on google!!
