Budget Part 99

Recommended Posts

I know we already have a budget thread but I was wondering if some of the more recently married brides would post how much they spent on their wedding so that we can have a more accurate idea of how much things cost. The girls who got married in 2006 had such great explanations of their budget but some of it is really off base considering that a lot of girls are getting married in 2008. I mean I think Tammy (host) got Juan for under $2,000. That's just not realistic now since his prices have gone up. Also it is no longer $20 per person at Dreams it is now $24 I believe for 2008. I thought it would be helpful if we could get a more recent account of how much things were costing. Maybe Sarah, Edyta, Louisa, Mishi, Melissa, Jennifer, Sarah, Karla V, Natasha, Christa and anyone else who recenlty got married could post their budgets and how much they spent on their weddings. I know I would greatly appreciate it.

OK Glenda, here's mine. My Excel program flipped out a couple months ago and I haven't reloaded it yet, so I had to redo this in a Work document. Not quite as nice looking, but you get the idea. I'm at just over $26k, including wedding bands and dress, not including e-ring.

Christa,
I noticed your budget said electrical setup ($30) was this for your lanterns? Dreams quoted me $180.. did you bring it and they put it up no charge?

Oh yeah, duh! I should know I've looked at your pictures a zillion times!! hmmm. I wonder if Maye would be allow to work her magic at Dreams.. that's a pretty big difference.

Yeah, and seriously, this whole "wiring" thing is really just a fricking extension cord plugged into the end of some sort of thin wire that runs all the lanterns accross the reception area. I really don't think it requires $180 worth of anything, be it labor or material. It's a racket I tell ya!

Actually, for what they had to do with mine, $180 was well worth it! They ran electrical line in a square shape and spliced into it every couple feet to hang my lanterns. it took them like 2-3 hours! I was impressed...
