i agree! aside from the perfect location (surrounded on 3 sides by water) and the awesome gazebo and lighthouse (and dolphins!), the *resort itself* actually looks a little ugly (architecturally) compared to others in the area like the riu resorts, or even dreams tulum (gorgeous!). however, these pictures look very nice ... still sort of minimalist, but clean and modern ... not ugly at all! :)

Wow you did a really great job. I was looking for a place to get married for a while and I went to Dreams and fell in love. I didn't have high expectations cause of the reasonable price, but I was really impressed. The food was so much better than any other all-inclusive I have been too. The staff is sooo nice and the location is the best in Cancun. I am getting married there in Jan 2010. Has anyone heard anything about golfing down there for the men maybe for the day before. I would love to surprise my FI with a day trip golfing?

I have a question...does anybody know about having the reception on the beach? Does it get very windy there at night?

Tks!
There are two beach locations available for the reception. The one near the gazebo is very windy all the time. My room faced the gazebo and the beach and I got to see some of the receptions held there. Needless to say.. I changed my location the next morning to the terrace. It was still windy but my guest did not have sand in their food :) The other beach location is by the Himitsu restaurant. It is not windy at all on that side. The only reason I did not pick it was because the Himitsu is an outdoor restaurant and everyone eating was going to be watching us eat and dance :) If you do not mind that I would recommend that location.

Dreams gives you a discount on golfing at the pok-ta-pok course. Here is the link for more info: Dreams Cancun Resorts & Spas: Golf

I think you have to pay $35.00 for the cart rental but your green fees are free. There is a surcharge of $35.00 if you golf between December & April before noon.

Hope this help :)
