Ohhhhh, I want to read this thread SOOOOOO bad! I just started the first Twilight book yesterday and am already on page 360, I can't remember the exact page number, but that's about right!

I tried to stay away from it, cuz I hate when people get all hype about something, I stay away from it just because. But I am in LOVE with Edward!!!! I hope it continues to be as good as it is so far and I can't wait to come back to this thread after I read them all. Next week, probably!

And since I am in love and all, I am kinda disappointed Robert Pattison to play Edward in the movie. He is attractive and all, but no where near as attractive as I make Edward in my head. The books are always better anyway.

I was REALLY disappointed with Robert Pattison as Edward! The Edward that I was picturing was way hotter than him. I don't really even think he is good looking. the movie wasnt great but the books are AWESOME!! I even read the transcript of the next book online blush2.gif I hope she finishes it soon!

In order to appreciate Rob, you have to watch his interviews. I know that sounds dumb in a way..but believe me, it's true.

He is so ..self depracating and totally anti-himself. He's brilliant, seriously one of the smartest people I think I've ever heard speak...talented (he sings BLUES, composes, plays both guitar and piano) and has a really great sense of humor. Watch...five interviews, and I guarantee you, you'll be ready to book a flight to London just to walk up and down the streets calling his name. lol

Ok, so I am halfway thru #4. I read the first 3 in 3 days, but had to wait my "turn" for #4. I am not "in love" with Edward like I was in the beginning, but I still love him. I don't really have much complaints at all about the books! I find that the beginning of each one was annoying b/c the first bit was a recap of the previous books and I found that annoying. I see the point, cuz not everyone reads them back-to-back-to-back, but still annoying.

I want to see the movie, but I am so scared that it will ruin everything for me. I almost wish I could go back to the frist book and get totally sucked in again!

Sidenote: I read ALOT, like anything I can get my hands on. I am usually anti-fantasy, like I couldn't read Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, but for some reason vampires are ok? Don't ask me. I think it's all due to Ann Rice, I loved her stories for years. Anyway, back to my point of me reading alot. I am not a good judge of a book, even though I read alot, cuz I get sucked into EVERY book I read. I cry reading magazine articles or watching commercials. It's kinda pathetic, cuz I can't really tell an OK book from a FANTASTIC book, cuz I get equally involved in all characters lives. I get totally submersed!

Ok so I have been anti-twilight for months now. I have a 13 year old step-daughter that lives breathes and sleeps by twilight...lol.. doesn't every young teen?! So I finally watched the movie the other day with her and I will admit that it was good but not obsession good. Well, I see why she loves it, if I were 13 again this would be thee movie. As she says, "it is the best movie ever, the movie of the century" (dripping with dramatic teen speak).

So I think I am going to read the books, although I will have to find another copy, she is weridly protective of hers and I don't think she will let me borrow them, besides the fact that she reads them over and over again. So as soon as I track some down for cheap, I'll add my two cents.

I do anticipate the book being better than the movie, since that is usually the case.

The movie was ok but if you read the book, to me, it wasn't comparable. Edward in my head was so much more...... I don't know... different. I just didn't feel the passion in the movie like I did the book. I hope the second one is better.

Carly, I didn't like the same story over and over either. Also, the third book really started annoying me. How she kept running off to see Jacob. It was making me mad after a while. Anyway, thats all I got. bunny_4.gif
