But the really funny thing is that, with this return trip to ROR, I feel like I should do so much. I feel like I need OOT bags, travel mugs, all the things I planned for my guests for the wedding.
I had to LOL at this one!

I am in the process of planning a vaction with my BFF/MOH and her husband. Well now we have invited 2 other couples. I feel like we need 1 couple to get a group! I want to do OOT Bags and travel letters, but I think they would all make WAAAAYYYYY too much fun of me!

I sometimes want a "do-over" with the wedding, knowing what I know now. I think I would have stolen a lot more ideas, been craftier with my DIY projects (or at least hired a crafty person), and not gotten so stressed about our guest list.

I will say that I was, and still am, disappointed from the lack of support we had from DH's family. Only his parents and brothers came to our actual wedding and AHR, out of 40 people who were invited. Only 2 people sent cards or in any way acknowledged our wedding. I just found out that all of his aunts and uncles are planning a big family vacation to Hawaii this September, about 12 people are going. Every time I think I'm over it, something like that happens and it pisses me off all over again! No one had any money to come to our wedding and went as far as to call me selfish for even wanting a DW, but since then there have been new cars, new boats, group vacations, home remodels, home theather systems, etc.

Hey Married Ladies. I feel like Sunbride that married life is the same for me and dh as it was before. But we also lived together for 2 years so maybe that has something to do with it. the only thing different is I get the "when are you going to have kids?" question constantly. which is so annoying. especially since we are or were trying and will start back up again.

I was so consumed with wedding planning before the wedding that i didnt know what to do with myself after. And everytime someone gets engaged, i try to convince them into having a DW. Just so i can help them plan. lol I had a friend join the forum she's getting married at Moon Palace (shout out to Betsy lol) but i dont think she's as into as me. Which is probably a good thing because i was wedding obsessed.

Life has been pretty boring since the wedding. Working a lot but since i have long hours at work i'm able to log on here to check in quite often. I keep up with the shout box thread, the mommy to be threads, and try to look at planning threads as much as possible. there are hardly any Palma Real brides on the forum for me to help out. so i check that thread about once a month to see what's happening.

I'm sorry Erin. It just goes to show you that people have money for the things that are important to them.

I think we should start a club. Our slogan can be "old brides never die, they just get hobbies."

I started getting interested in photography a few months before my wedding & really couldn't wait to have planning wrapped up so I could move on to something new. For anyone feeling a bit of emptiness, find something new to love. Think about what you enjoyed the most about the wedding planning & find a hobby similar. I know for me it was the DIY projects. That got me working with photoshop which led to me really wanting a nice camera.

I love being married. I didn't think anything would change, but there is just this wonderful extra feeling of love around us. It's subtle, but there is definitly something different.

I love this sentiment and totally agree. It's funny, because people always tell you that feeling will go away or dwindle (well, the older married relatives have always said that to me, not sure about the rest of you), but it just seems to get stronger to me. Our friends still get mock grossed out when we kiss each other or are caught holding hands, but that's just who we are, the cutesy couple.

We're pretty cutesy too! I think it throws people off because we're kind of an odd looking couple with DH being so much bigger than me. I think people expect him to be mean or stupid (because he was a jock) and he's really just a big teddy bear!

Nope, nada, 100% the same as before for me! :)
