Healthy breakfast ideas

Recommended Posts

Two egg whites scrambled with pieces of spinach and a slice of whole wheat toast. You will not get hungry until lunch. I think it is pretty tasty and you get your protein.

Hmm... i guess my Lucky Charms or Captain Crunch Berries don't count.

I have decided to try and get healthier though, so I was thinking of trying the Special K with strawberries. Has anyone ever had that?

Any Kashi cereal is really good for you. Plus, they have a lot of fiber and protein so you will stay full longer throughout the morning. I like their Go Lean cereal and Autumn Wheat cereals.

Stay away from the breakfast bars, though. Not as good for you, not as filling, and the sugar will make you spike.

I love Special K with Strawberries, but I can't remember how may WW points it has. I usually have it for dinner. (Thats when I crave sweets and this really calms my cravings.)

I love Kashi Go Lean cereal. I'll have it with soy milk.

A good filling option too is toasted whole grain bread or english muffin w/peanut butter.

Honestly, I always run out of time in the morning, so unless I bring something w/me to work, I end up eating a handful of raw almonds & a cup of peppermint tea.

I usually have a Starbucks chai latte on the way to work and then a Luna bar once I get there.

If I have time at home, two low fat Eggo waffles with natural peanut butter, raisins and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for fiber. Yummy!

I always have plain/regular oatmeal, made with milk instead of water. When it comes out of the microwave I put in the following:

Cinnamon

Ground Flax Seed (for omega 3s/protein)

Raw unprocessed honey (for flavor and good minerals)

Some sort of berries.

It ends up being very tasty and very healthy : )

Breakfast:
1/2 slice of polish wheat bread toasted
farmers cheese spread on bread
Slices of tomatoes on top with cummin seeds and salt and pepper
1 small cup of coffee and milk
1 large cup of green tea

Sometimes instead of the farmers cheese I use avocado slices

So I had some cottage cheese, dried blueberries and a sprinkle of honey this morning. It was so good!

Thanks for the inspiration!
