Try not to stress too much about it, as far as I know there's a max of 3 weddings a day, 11am, 2pm & 4pm so there is a substantial break between weddings. Our wedding is on the 3rd April, we'll be there from 31st March so if you're not too preoccupied we might see each other around. Relax & go with the flow is what I say.

Hope all your plans are coming together now, what time is your ceremony??

Sarah xx
Hi Sarah,

Well I gues It wont be that bad, right? Three is not that much, comparing to 8 weddings... We have the 4 pm wedding. And you?? We will be there from
26 March. It would be great to meet and get a drink!

How are you in the process of planning, Im almost done now, and trying to relax as the day is coming closer and closer...

Are you coming with a large group? ( sorry for all the questions) smile03.gif

But you'll be so caught up in your own day & your own moments that the other weddings won't even cross your mind! They will be the last thing that you will worry about!!!

You'll probably see the other brides & their parties in passing, but that will be it!

So don't worry about it at all! Just enjoy your day as it will still be special.
Hi Justustwo,

Thanks for making me feel sooo much better! You rock!
I was wondering, I also have the 4 pm wedding, How was the sun at this moment. Do you recommend taking pictures before the ceremony, or after. I dont want to miss the beautiful sunny pictures. How did you do this?

Thanks smile03.gif

It was still sunny at 4pm so we took all of our pics after the ceremony. The area on the beach does have some shady spots but I don't think that will interfere with your pics.

Are you getting married on the beach or are you using the pond gazebo?
Either way the ceremony will be over so quickly that you'll have plenty of time left over & I don't think getting sunny shots will be a problem at all.
You could probably even catch some good sunset shots later on!

There was three weddings the day I got married as well. It ended up working out pretty good for us cause they had too many to all fit in the Mammee Bay so we got to enjoy the use of the planatation for free. We had the same menu just a nicer place to have dinner.

I also mingled a bit with one other bride about how her day was going and took a picture with them. I thought it was pretty cool.

No worries girl, if you want things to be more private and just your day ..it can be. The Riu is a very large resort and you will probably not even notice the other brides there that day unless you choose to. Stop worrying and just enjoy your day!! Take it all in cause it goes very fast.

Hope this helps :)

I will be there from the 1st through the 6th, too! We should definitely have cocktails. :) My wedding is at 2:00 on the 4th.

But, unlike you and Sarah, I have so much left to do - including a dress. That's right, NO dress. I should probably be freaking out, but I'm pretty laid back, so I know I'll get one before my 6 am flight on the 1st. :)

I agree with everyone else, don't worry about it!! Beth and I are having our weddings on the same day and I was told by Chandlyn that there definitely is a third. At first I was worried but now I am over it. The resort is really big and I don't think the brides will really run into each other. They'e been plenty of reviews on ROR and no one has ever complained about it. I say focus on making your day special and relax. I'll be there from the 1 to the 10th. I have a lot to do as well. I need to send over my notarized documents, did you guys do that yet? And I just started working on my OOT boxes. Beth, are you having a welcome dinner? When is it? I think I want to have mine on Friday, 7pm at St. Ann's. I have to confirm with Chandlyn.

Hi Girls

Yes it will be perfect, I'm just so laid back, everyone here is expecting me to be stressing & pulling my hair out at this moment, the only thing I've left to do is have my dress taken in, 1st appt is on the 6th so I'm on a v.strict diet (Cambridge) at the mo to lose at least another stone in 2 weeks but I'm very chilled out with it all. I have to say I've yet to get totally excited about our trip but hopefully when we head to the airport the afternoon before it'll sink in then, plus its my 32nd birthday the day before we go so I'm looking forward to having a few well deserved drinks!

We will defo meet up someplace & enjoy ourselves!!

Take care!

Sarah x

Hey Beth and Moy

Re notarized documents. I had mine copied then certified by a solicitor in England (lawyer) ready to post them, but decided to scan them and send by email just incase they didn't get there by post. I asked if they still needed to be sent hard copy and Chandlyn said no the scan was fine as long as I bring my original documents with me to Jamaica. So don't stress!
