Best Man is a woman - how do I list her on the program?

Recommended Posts

Title says it all!

I've read one etiquette thread that you list a female "best man" as a Maid or Matron of Honor, but I think listing two MoH would be confusing to guests, and doesn't make clear that the MoH on his side is his attendant.

Anyone else out there got that problem? How did you solve it?

i think this has probably happened a lot altho i dont know what brides did. i would say call her best girl or best woman, depending on her age. i dont think its that big a deal because a lot of guests dont even read the programs.

Hehehe yeah. I wasn't even going to do programs, but FH thinks we need them.

I think I'm going to go with MoH for the Bride, and MoH for the Groom. (huh.gif)

Well folks, the decision is made, and I'm not going to do any more edits. (I like to just make a decision and run with it - I'm not one to dwell too long on any one issue)

They will be listed this way:

Matron of Honor for the Bride......Holly Golightly

Maid of Honor for the Groom.......Mary Poppins

Follows what seems to be the generally accepted ettiquette, yet makes it clear whose attendant is whose.
