5 months til wedding

Hi I'm Kay: Just joined this forum....am the mother of a VERY busy bride. The wedding is at Riu Montego Bay the week of June 21, 2009. Travels plans have been set, but the details of the actual wedding have not been started yet. Want to help my daughter and be a good "resource" for her, so thought this would be a good way to start.

where do we start? See that you must have helped w/ daughters wedding. How long before wedding did you contact wedding coordinator to find what choices you had ? Also need to find help with what legal documents are needed to apply for license in Jamaica.

You have done the hardest part, deciding on a resort! My daughter and her husband contacted the wedding coordinator at the resort. They got the contact information from the travel agent. I'm pretty sure that the only thing that they decided on in advance was the ceremony location, the reception location, and flowers. Everything else they just went with the package offered.

I'm in Canada and my daughter got married in Mexico so I don't know about the documents you need for Jamaica but I did some searches and came up with some threads that may help you:
