Hi! We just got married in PV, had our rehersal dinner at Si Senor in it was AWESOME! The food was not only delicious the presentation was something else. And there was entertainment and the service was spectacular. I will write a review and attach pictures in the next week or so, but let me know if you have questions:-)

I think it was just under $3K for 40 people, over half was alcohol...oops. So the meal was $1400

Included:

Guacamole made to order in front of guests

Appatizers were mussels, calamarie and scallops

Seafood platter on these really cool aluminum boats with fire that had lobster

tails, shrimp, and tuna steaks.

Mexican platters included tamales, enchiladas and pork, chicken, beef.

Trio of desserts: fried icecream, chocolate and cheesecake.

THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS FABULOUS TOO. Very cool location, great service and scenery.

I have an email address for whoever is interested. Just give me a couple of days.

Nikki-

The Welcome Reception and Rehearsal Dinner can be combined. I went to a wedding recently that did this. The only thing is the following to consider:

a. Rehearsal dinners - usually mean sit down meals and such, so if you have a large wedding and you combine the two you are paying for everyone that is attending the wedding to come to the rehearsal dinner. Can get expensive.

b. Welcome Reception is usually hosted on the night majority of your guests arrive, so they can meet and spend the next few days getting to know each other before the wedding. Most welcome receptions are between 2-3 hours long. You can provide drinks and appetizers. Usually this is very inexpensive.

c. If your family and your Fiance's family don't live near each other, having a rehearsal dinner at DW for just the wedding party is a nice way to have just your family and wedding party together. While allowing your other guests a free night to do as they please.

So I think what ever works best for you is the way to go.

My friend who did the rehearsal dinner/welcome reception combo paid just as much for the dinner as she did her wedding reception. Ouch...

We are having a welcome reception the night everyone arrives and providing 2 hours of open bar and passed apps 60 plus guests.

Then we are having a rehearsal brunch with our families and wedding party 33 people, to keep it intimate.

Cheers

PS I have been pricing rehearsal dinners for my 33 people and they are running anywhere between $800-$1400 w/o drinks.

Thanks so much for the detailed response Kathy! That definitely helps. I will need to budget that extra $ in - didnt really think I would have a formal rehearsal but I do definitely want a gathering/meal for everyone the night before. The welcome reception is a good idea as well. Thanks again!
