Hi Denise & welcome!

I'm guessing here but I imagine you can change your package at anytime prior to your first meeting with the WC when you arrive at the resort (although I don't know that to be fact).

I personally managed to change a couple of things the day of my wedding including asking for the Mariachi band that day. The resort is very accomodating to wedding parties and they definately go above and beyond to make sure that you get everything you want.

Hope this helps

Congratulations Neen!

You looked beautiful and I'm very excited everything turned out wonderfully for you. Thank you so much for taking the time out while you are on your honeymoon to give us bits and pieces of your experience. You know we were sitting on the edge of our seats waiting to hear from you.

Have a fabulous time, and I can't wait to see more pics.

Hi Everyone,

I don't have a date confirmed with DT but I'm shooting for early Jan 2010. We want a very BASIC wedding; ceremony to be Catholic in the chapel and then we were thinking of dinner at one of the restaurants to save some cash.

Has anyone else done a religious ceremony at the DT? I've tried reading through the posts and I can't seem to get through the hundreds of pages attached. From what I've read it is mainly legal ceremonies occuring.

Yes the 100+ pages are definitely overwhelming. If you check the detailed bride list you can read through to see what type of ceremonies people had. That would be the best way because most of the past brides aren't around any more (basically just me and a few of the ones from the last month or so).

Also, you should note that the symbolic ceremony is in fact quite religious (religious readings). One or two brides have complained about this. I'm not even 100% clear on what the difference is between religious and symbolic.

Amy706,

Your pics are awesome!!!! I really felt like I was there just by looking at your pics. You looked beautiful in the non-pro pics, but they just really didn't do any justice to how gorgeous you actually were. It looked like you guys were really having a good time.

I can just hope and pray that my day is as special as yours seemed to have been.

Ashley

Amy you looked wonderful in your pics. My FI and I just got done looking at them and you looked so amazing the whole set up. I was excited to see how great it look because my wedding is in 4 months and I'm started to get a bit nervous about how things will go but after seeing your pictures and I read your review again I feel a bit relieved. I was wondering what time your ceremony started? I like the evening pics you had taken. Also I am assuming with the caterman cruise you got the whole ship to yourself? I have 20 guests I doubt I will get the whole caterman? ok and once again you looked beautiful!!

You guys are so sweet. THANK YOU!

Jenny, we did get the whole catamaran to ourselves. We had a boat that could fit 100 people and we ended up only with 50 (we thought we'd have 60). teh same company we used ALSO has a boat that holds a max of 50 people. if YOU rent it out (there's a rental feel and then a per person fee for food/drinks) then YOU get it all to yourself. You could definitely find a smaller boat and still get it all to yourselves. Check out the one i used (details in my review) and also look at some others posted on this site. If you want to do it (and we had an AMAZING time) its definitely doable.

Thanks again, All. Nothing gets by you guys. i haven't posted my Citlalli review yet; I just added the link to my signature. I should have known; DT brides are on it like a pig on sh*t! hahah! Love it.

You're so cute, Ashley. Thank you! Your day will be too!

Also, Jenny- our wedding was at 4pm and they Citlalli was in a rush to get all of our pics done before the sun went down. It was very quick between 4:30 and 5ish when it set. Keep in mind if your wedding is in May the sun will set at a different time!
