RIU Riviera Maya - April 2010! Needing some advice n' tips!

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me out with some tips and information with respect to this resort it would be SOOO appreciated!!

 

Specifically I'm wondering if you can offer some advice about the following:

 

flower arrangements...what selections they have...I would love white Calla lilies.

Photographers?

D.J. vs. live band?

Reception suggestions?

Kid Friendly?

I've been trying to get in contact with someone at the resort to get available dates for April 2010. I'm having a hard time receiving a response and we need a date before we can book.

I received response from a WC when I went through the "Contact Us" option on the WeddingsbyRiu website. I'm planning on having my wedding next January and unfortunatly weddings for 2010 are not available to book and confirm until March. So I guess we just have to wait!

Hi Shanny, I can tell you that the process is long. I got engaged in October, 2007 and started picking locations at that point. I decided on RPRM by December but the resort didn't release the 2009 rates for quite a while -- I think it was around April -- and they don't book weddings until the rates for the year you are booking have been decided.

When they finally do get back to you they should let you know when the rates will be released and when you can call to reserve your date. Make sure you do that as soon as they say it's possible, they only book so many weddings per day and you don't want to miss out. )
