Ok girls, I have a big confession. I just spent $350 on makeup! Holy $hit! smile41.gif I don't know how it happened. I went in for a makeup lesson and bought the whole damn place! I will say that the woman made all of the make up for me right there in the store. So, everything is made just for my skin. But still, my FI would kill me. Everyone I know would kill me if I told them. I can't believe I did that... Big time buyers remorse right now.
We do crazy things right before the wedding. Don't regret it just go with it :) It's too late to do anything so just enjoy that you have it and you are going to look HOT!

Thanks ladies! I will have the makeup for a long time so I guess it is worth it. And it is soooo nice to have something that was made just for me! Oh well, not like I can change it now. lol

Makeup: Totally worth it, I am about to do the same thing. Nevermind the earrings, spanks, etc. Once you budget, figure in an extra $1000 for the things you need just to get everything in place.

Anyway, I also agree about FI not being perfect on that day. I just got done writing my vows and was crying the whole time, and I know the day is going to be emotional for me, so I want him to be in that mode too, not open bar woo hoo mode. And he and his dad get bad when they drink together sometimes. Sometimes they get feisty, and other times they get blubbery and and get a bad case of the I love you mans! I just hope he is focused on me. I have waited so long, and worked so hard!

When I went in to Murale and had the makeup lesson I spent $180 on the spot. Then I went to Shopper's to get brushes and the other less importantly perfect things (highlighter, etc.) but I think all that cost me another $80, so I was up to $260 easily for one day.
It killed me because I never ever even wear much make up let alone buy it... YOu may be surprised. Your FI might understand. It's worth it for your peace of mind and the pics. And you'll get lots of use out of it in the end. Just relax :)

On our wedding day I thought I would be a mess. I was so calm and happy. I never even cried until the toasts at the reception. Ryan was a mess though and that is so not him. I thought he was going to ball as soon as he saw me. I had to talk him through it at the altar while the officiant was talking. He just kept saying I looked stunning and his eyes were all wet. It was cute but I didn't want him to start balling lol. I think I was the only one that didn't cry at the ceremony. It was just such a high, it is hard to explain until it happens. I am sure if I had to do the hand ceremony or if we had wrote our own vows it would be different but I made sure we didn't.

I guess my point is that guys may act like they don't care about the wedding and that it is "our day" or whatever. But he may just surprise you and be the total opposite of what you expect.

OMG I did the same thing! I couldn' t stop grinning, but I didn't get teary at all. FI was wiping his eyes, my mom was balling from the beginning.

I do confess though that on Tuesday night, 2 days after we got back, I got emotional while doing laundry and thinkig of the song I walked down the aisle to. I think that song will provoke memories for the rest of my life :)

I totally second that one Casey!
I confess that the Holidays totally sucked because of her and all of her snide remarks regarding the wedding and the resort and the expense. This is your only childs wedding; could you stop being so damn negative about everything and realize that for once everything is not about you! Your sister is another thing... so maybe you dont take your 3 kids to Mexico if you cant afford it; maybe you just take yourself. You manage to only think of yourself every other day of the year and now suddenly your kids feelings matter!!
These women are crazy.wtf.gif
