Do anyone know anywhere I can get pre-martial counseling in Atlanta?

I really want to do this before I get married... I know some couples do it and some don't, but for me it really means a lot to me to do it. If anyone have any info I live in the Metro Atlanta area.

I would check with your insurance. They have a list of aproved counslors in your area. Sometimes you can go on there website and check them out.

If your company has an employee assistance program, they will hook you up with 3 visits for free.

My FI and I did this couples workshop a few years ago. Its a little intense, 22 hour workshop over the weekend. Its called imago therapy. When we finished we thought, every couple should go through this as premartial counseling. It really gives you the tools to a successful marriage. Things that seem like common sense but sometimes are overlooked. I dont believe its covered by many insurance and is a little expensive, but when you look at it as what you get and 22 hours, it really is a great price. When we went there were couples there that were dating, married a year, married 50 years. Couples that were having troubles in their marriage, couples that were engaged, and couples looking to just enhance an already great marriage. It was pretty awesome.

A lot of churches will let you do pre-marital counseling w/o being a member. I have a friend who is going outside her church home to do her pre-marital counseling so there is no bias. (ie. I've known Susan 15 years she would never... etc.) I would try calling a few non-denominational churches or community fellowships. They usually have more open policies.
