Your passports and birth certificates are already noritized. You don't have to get them done again. If they are "OFFICIAL" copies, they are noritized with "the seal" meaning they are real.

Also GOOD LUCK, I sent my documents REGISTERED MAIL (Guarenteed in 6 weeks and have to be signed for) And they never got my documents!!!!! I just got married 2 weeks ago and still trying to find where my documents are in the mail service! But no fear ladies- take an extra photographed copy of you passports, driver's license and birth certificate just in case, that is what I did and they got everything taken care of.... I'm mad I went and spent all that money to send the documents and they never got there!

I was worried about this process but it's actually quite simple. Just make sure you give it lots of time to get there and have the wedding co-ordinator confirm to you when she has received it. I had another copy made so that I would have copies with me upon arrival incase something went wrong.

Thanks for the info, but I'm still a little confused! So my passport and certified birth certificate (with seal) should be okay. Shouldn't they say "certified" instead of "notarized"?

I was married before and have to bring a notarized copy of my divorce decree and documents stating name change.
I looked online to find out how to get this and my county states I can order a certified copy of the divorce decree, but doesn't state anything about a notarized copy. Is this the same thing? There are not any name change documents because I just used my old marriage certificate.

Am just wondering if anyone else had to do thishuh.gif? If so, can you shed some light on what is needed? Thanks so much!

If you send it far enough in advance you can just send it by regular mail to save on mailing costs. Some of these girls on here sent it by registered mail and paid about $20-$30. I sent it via regular mail in November (I'm getting married Jan 24) and it cost me under $2 to send. I just sent her emails every now and then to see if she received them and she has. May have taken 3 or 4 weeks before she confirmed receiving them but like I said, if you send the docs early enough, they are sure to get there.

I agree that if you send in advance it woll save you money. Unfortunately for me, if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all so I opted to pay the $48 to send via Fedex first time around. I just sent mine off and my wedding is March 6th. You cana lways clear up any lingering questions with your WC if you have exchanged emails with her.
