So I know this is an older thread but I wanted to add my name to the St. Thomas Roster.

Kelsey (future Mrs. Baker), from Dayton Ohio. I am still figuring out where I am getting married on the Island. I actually thought I had in narrowed down until I went through all the St. Thomas posts! But seriously, thanks to everyone for putting so much information up here! I found a lot of things I hadn't looked at yet.

We plan to get married in early September 2010, though after some research that is the highest storm month so that may change, we'll see.

I am still in the early planning stages no to WC yet, but thanks to all the posts on here I have a lot of great WC to choose from.

Congratulations Kelsey! This thread just keeps going and I think that is kinda cool! Yes, you are right, the month of Sept. is the peak of our Hurricane season and there is no way of telling if we would get hit or not. It is the slowest month for visitors for sure! But, we do have people come down! I remember seeing a wedding on TV where the couple went thru Hurricane Marilyn and they still got married (no showers, etc) on the roof top of one of the hotels. They sure had a story to tell! I'd dare say tho, that if something like that happened, your wedding would still go on!

Do you have plans as to where you want to stay? Plenty of options there as well! Hotels of course, but villas are pretty nice as well.

Have fun planning that wedding!

There hasn't been a posting to this thread in a while but I'm a St. Thomas bride to be from Southern California. We'll be in St. Thomas for only 1 day (on a cruise). We're planning on getting married on Magen's Bay and we are still trying to figure out which WC to use. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!

Barbieblue, I got to see a wedding that Sherri, who posts on this thread, coordinated on Magen's Bay when I was on St. Thomas last August. It was an amazingly beautiful ceremony. I couldn't see anything I would want differently, and the bride and guests all appeared to be very happy. You might want to send her a p/m to see what she can do for you.

Yes I was in St Thomas this past September and loved it. I don't know exactly where the wedding will be. I wanted Lime tree beach but my wc said that there's a big party there on Tuesdays so we're looking at Brewer's Bay. You were correct the wedding is 11/10/09. Reception is still up in the air my wc says that we should just do rum punch champagne and cake on the beach We are gonna have a tour with sunny liston following the wedding. We may end the tour with dinner at a rest... I'm waiting to hear back from my wc with prices for dinner. What are you doing? I have no idea how many ppl are going. I want it to be about 30 ppl but we're ordering 80 invites so we'll see how many people rsvp after the official invites are sent out. Most of our group has visited our website so they know all ab the trip but only Brian and I are currently booked.

Happy New Year everyone! msnparty.gif

Hey Petunia,

When is the next time you will be here? Will it be when you get married? I am hoping we can get together for that cocktail we were talking about! cheers.gif

Airfares are down right now, and weddings are far less expensive to the traditional wedding in the states! You can get married here, and have your honeymoon for far less than the cost of staying home and being overwhelmed with all of the details!

One thing I am surprised about is that I don't see trip reports on the forum. How cool to hear about how wonderful your wedding experience was after the fact. This is a great way of letting others know what they thought of their wedding coordinator, photographer, wedding sight, hotel or villa, the island, and so much more! So ladies, fill us in!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of taking one of our brides to her villa and spoke with her many times during her stay, I didn't get to do her wedding, but enjoyed meeting her!

Anyway, All my best to all of you and Sea-Suns Greetings and Smooth Sailing for 2009!!!!!!
