Yes, we sent the welcome party invite with the wedding invite. We did a pocketfold invitation...so one of the inserts was the welcome party invite.

It says something like "Rhonda & Mark would like to welcome you to their wedding weekend. Please join us on April 30, 2009 for drinks, dessert, and celebration" Time & location were also noted on the invite.

I did the same thing as Erin. A few weeks before we left, I sent a Pre-Travel/Welcome to Jamaica Packet. In that I included our weekend itinerary, which included the welcome dinner.
I also had a welcome note card that I put in the OOT bags, which again reminded them about the welcome dinner.
The note cards said something like "We would like to take the time to welcome you to Jamaica. Please join us for dinner at St.Ann's restaurant on Thursday, April 10th at 7:30 pm".

I would like to just include it in the oot bags. The problem with that is I'm planning on giving out the oot bags at our welcome dinner. I think I'm going to have my travel agent include a postcard sized invite with the travel documents that she hands out. The biggest reason I'm having a welcome dinner is to hand out the oot bags.
