Shoe advice needed please...

Recommended Posts

Ladies,

I've found a shoe online that I am in love with. According to the website, the shoe is described as being silver, however in the pic it looks almost cream. My dress is ivory and I don't think a silver shoe would look good paired up against it.

So my question is do you think the contrast wouldn't be too big of a deal, or alternatively does anyone know where I can find a similar style shoe but in ivory/white/cream.

Here are pics of the shoe:

And here's my dress:

Alternatively, I also like this shoe as well, but it costs a ton more:

Your thoughts?

OK...first off, I LOVE that first shoe. Going by the pictures, I think it would go wonderfully with your dress...but...are they really expensive? I mean, worst case scenario (if they're not TOO pricey) is you end up with a wicked pair of shoes, and have to buy a new set if they don't match the dress.

It's hard to say...sometimes the way things appear online, turn out sooo differently in real-life!

Can I ask..where'd you find them?

Here's an assortment. Most are modestly priced. Some are not...

Sorry - I didn't answer your actual questions.

I think you have to be prepared that the first shoe will really be silver. And if you don't like that look with your dress, don't get that shoe. It's gorgeous though.
The second shoe is very nice too and would go well with your dress! And it's cream, so probably a better match.

I just went nuts and started looking for similar shoes for you :)

They are both gorgeous! I really love the second pair!

But for the first pair...I think it kind of depends on the other accessories you plan to wear. Even if the ivory is a bit more taupe than the ivory of your dress, it would be okay, but you'll want to make sure your jewelry offers other gold tones to help create the balance. JMO...hopefully it's helpful!
